Dear friends! I am calling upon you with a heartfelt appeal for help. My name is Vyacheslav, I live in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Right now, I am facing the most difficult period of my life. I am on the verge of complete blindness, and without immediate medical help, I will go blind this world forever. I need an ocular implant procedure on my left eye due to cataracts. This is my only chance to retain my vision because I have already lost my right eye.

Since childhood, I have suffered from severe nearsightedness. At the age of three, I was prescribed glasses, and since then, my life has been a continual effort to see. In 2000, a terrible accident changed my fate forever. Shattered glass injured the cornea of my right eye, and despite several medical procedures and a corneal transplant, I lost vision in that eye. Later, glaucoma developed, and after 21 years of battling for my eyesight, I had to undergo the excision of my right eye in 2021.

Now, my only eye is deteriorating rapidly. My nearsightedness is -16, and cataracts are worsening my vision every day. Without surgery, I will go completely blind in the next two years. Doctors say that an urgent lens replacement can save my sight, but without medical intervention, my vision loss will be irreversible. I am already struggling to recognize objects, seeing everything as blurred shapes, and moving around independently is becoming increasingly difficult.

Financially, I am unable to afford the operation. I survive on a disability pension of just $63 per month. This hardly meets the eye drops that only slightly slow the progression of cataracts. Saving for an expensive surgery is simply impossible. I need the charity and support of kind-hearted people who can help me in this difficult time.

Any assistance, even the smallest donation, will bring me closer to maintaining my eyesight. I do not ask for luxury or a comfortable life. My only dream is to see my loved ones, my friends, the sun, nature, and simply enjoy life again. The ability to see is the greatest gift I could ever wish for.
